Who doesn’t want to make their own book to work in?

This class is all about how to glue, tear, cut, and sew your own homemade watercolor journal, with a leather cover that is backed with washi paper. The coolest thing about this class is that you will get to shop for your own leather and choose your own washi paper – giving this book a very personal feel.

Price : 25,000 yen per person
( For extra books 2,000 yen per book (includes inside paper, and Christina's time to help with prep. Doesn’t include leather or Washi. )

What the price includes

Tour of Asakusabashi stores
Christina’s teaching & expertise in book making
watercolor paper for inside book
thread
needle
use of shared tools, strong cutting knife, t-square, self healing board, template, glue

Students need to buy at the shop;

Leather (average 1000 yen)
a washi sheet (average 350yen per large sheet)

Note: this class takes two days to create a journal. The washi needs to dry before you can sew the pages into the book.

Class Schedule :

Day 1 : March 10, 2023 10AM - 3PM

Meet at Asakusabashi station and head to the leather Shop & washi shop to choose your leather and washi for your custom made leather watercolor journal. Quick Lunch in Asakusabashi. Arrive at Christina’s House around 1 pm to start making your journal.

Day 2 : March 17, 2023. Meet at Christina’s house for class at 10am
